What's On Loan?
Loan Boxes
The EMRC has a selection of equipment that member councils, schools and community groups can borrow to assist with education for sustainability and compliment waste avoidance and reduction initiatives and events. Use of the loan resources is free for groups in - the Town of Bassendean, Cities of Bayswater and Swan and the Shire of Mundaring. Most items may be loaned for up to three weeks (pending availability).
Event Bicycle Parking Rails and Banners
The EMRC recognises that cycling has several benefits. We offer free hire of bike racks, banners and a portable bicycle pump to community groups and event organisers in our Region to encourage patrons to cycle as a means of transport, sport or leisure. The “Bike friendly” banners to help to increase the visibility of the rails. There are 13 rails which span 14m once set up. each floor rail is 950mm long. The racks can be customised to smaller spaces depending on how many rails are required.
Water Stations
Single-use plastic bottles have a negative and long-term impact on the environment. By using a refill station at events instead, community groups can help people stay hydrated while reducing single-use plastic bottles. Schools and community groups in our Region can hire our two water refill stations (one bottle refill station and one drink fountain) free of charge. Remember to encourage your patrons to bring along a reusable water bottle as part of your event planning!
Clothing Rails and Clothes Swap Loan Resources
To encourage sustainable styling and reduce textile waste to landfill, community groups may like to arrange their own Clothes Swap event. A clothes swap allows attendees to bring and exchange textile products for free, rather than purchasing new items. The EMRC has a number of clothing rails, mirrors and changerooms that can be loaned to support community groups in organising their own Clothes Swaps. These items can also be loaned to support other events or productions where temporary storage of clothing or backstage resources may be useful.
